Deposits on your bank statement, month by month
Because early payments slide into the previous month, some months show two SSI deposits and others none — you still get exactly 12 payments in 2026.
July and October and December: two deposits (the second one is the next month's payment arriving early). March and August and November: no deposit — that month's payment was already issued at the end of the previous month.

SSI is paid on the 1st of each month. When the 1st falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the payment is issued on the closest preceding business day — which means 5 of the 12 SSI payments for 2026 arrive early, some at the end of the previous month.
Why did I get two SSI payments in one month?
When the 1st of the next month falls on a weekend or holiday, next month's SSI payment is issued at the end of the current month. Your bank statement shows two deposits in one month and none in the next — but you always receive exactly 12 payments per year. It is not a bonus payment.
How much is SSI in 2026?
After the 2.8% COLA, the maximum federal SSI payment in 2026 is $994 per month for an individual and $1,491 for a couple. Some states add a supplement on top, and your amount can be lower depending on your income and living situation.
Can I get SSI and Social Security at the same time?
Yes. If your Social Security benefit is low enough, you can receive both (a concurrent benefit). In that case SSI arrives on the 1st and your Social Security payment on the 3rd of each month.
